Stamp Duty Calculator WordPress plugin

Now updated with 23rd September 2022 changes.

The stamp duty widget allows you to easily calculate the amount of stamp duty land tax due on a freehold residential property. It will display the calculation in a table with a rundown of the different percentages that make up the total amount. There is also the option to specify that it’s a first time buyer, buy-to-let or secondary property and if any of the purchasers are non-UK resident, which changes the amount of stamp duty due.

Please note, this calculator assumes it’s a freehold residential property and does not calculate commercial transactions or leasehold properties.

The calculator is built upon the residential property rates provided here as of 23/09/2022.

The widget is provided as a guide only and users should always seek professional advice from a certified accountant/solicitor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the calculator get updated when there's a change to the legislation?

We try to update the calculators within 2 weeks of an announcement of a change in the calculation from the government. This is the main reason we charge a yearly license fee so that you have the peace of mind that the calculator will be updated when legislation changes.

Do you provide support?

Purchasing our calculators will give you access to support and updates for one year. We provide basic support to help you get the widget working on your site. For more advanced integrations or changes to the calculator you may need to hire a developer.

Do I need to renew my license?

Your license is valid for one year and it gives you access to support and updates for the number of sites you purchase a license for. We will get in touch with you via email about a month before your license expires with details on how to renew your license. You will need to renew your license to continue receiving support and updates. If you don't renew your license then the WordPress plugin will continue to work with the version you have installed.

Do you offer refunds?

As this is a digital product, refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis. We do provide the calculators prior to purchase to test on your website so please make use of that option by filling out the form here.

Can I test your widget before purchasing?

Yes! We offer the ability to demo our calculators on your website prior to purchase, you just need to fill out the form on this page and we'll send you the relevant code to test.

Can I upgrade my license at a later time?

Yes, if you need to use the widgets on more than one website then you can contact us to upgrade your license at any time.

What happened to the HTML and embed code version?

With the success of Calculator Widgets, we decided that we needed a specific service designed for non-WordPress websites to offer more options such as the nearest schools widget. This was the birth of our sister service Estate Agent Widgets. We also found that people using the HTML version weren't updating the website with each release which meant that there were incorrect calculations on their client's websites. Anyone who signed up prior to the launch of Estate Agent Widgets still have access to the hosted and HTML versions.
